🆕 Installation & setup for new clients
Step 1 - Connect the MerchantPro integration and get the API key
Go to app.aqurate.ai and login or sign-up (if you do not yet have an account)
From the home screen, click on Connect
Click on Generate API key & then copy the key to use it for next steps
Step 2 - Install the Aqurate app in MerchantPro
Paste the API key copied previously & make sure all the feeds boxes are checked.
Activate the Search button and click on Install.
⏳ The synchronisation starts once the app is installed and can take up to 24 hours.
Step 3 - Set live the recommendation widgets
To display the Aqurate widgets on the Homepage and Product page, go to Settings > Website > Design & Theme in your MerchantPro account, then click on Edit design:

Click on Add widget from the main widgets area and select Products (slider)
Add a title and select Recommended products via Aqurate from the Type area:
Then click on Apply and place the widget as high on the homepage as possible.
2. Product details page
Select the product page option from the sections menu
Add two or three Recommended products tabs through the Add tab button
We recommend setting one tab with alternatives above the description and one tab with cross-sell below. They can be powerful when used together.
Add a title and select the recommendation type for each tab.
3. Cart page
Go to Settings from the left bottom side and then click on the cart option:
Scroll to Display recommended products in the cart and select Cross sell via Aqurate from the menu and then save the settings.
Step 4 - Activate the trial in your Aqurate account
Once the synchronization is done and you have displayed the recommendation widgets in your shop, you can activate the 30 days trial in your Aqurate account.
Click on Start free trial in your account, fill in the required billing details in the next page, save the setup and you are done!
⏳ Measurement data will appear in your dashboard within 24 hours after starting the trial.
💡 Search activation for existing clients
1. In MerchantPro, go to Apps > My Apps, find Aqurate and click the settings icon ⚙️.
2. Activate the Search toggle and save.
3. In your Aqurate account, go to Search and click Get Started to initiate the synchronisation.
4. Once the sync is done, you will be able to start your trial in the account.
